Locked away so long ago An emotion so kind. Locked away only for show. The lock was of the mind. The lock was tested day by day never once did it slip. But then one special test came my way This test made the lock tip. This test was different. The lock stood no chance. The cage had been bent. The emotion was free to advance. Now it is clear that this fine emotion Should flow free in my mind like an ocean. |

This was originally submitted on my other account. I have decided to move it to my now main account. This poem was moved since it has such a strong message to it, I could not just leave it on my old dead account.
Here is the description from the original submission: "Well I had an assignment in school to write a sonnet about anything. So I sat and thought about it for awhile and decided to write one about locked emotions and how no matter how hard you try to keep your emotions locked there is always something out there that will unlock it. Well, I don't know if it's that great. I also don't think I did the proper syllables count for a sonnet... but I felt like sharing it because so far everyone I have showed it to said it was good...
