Cats

I was in a creative writing class this semester and the last few assignments were to write poems.

This was one of the five poems that made it into my portfolio for the class.

The poems for the assignments were to be free verse with no rhyming.

The inspiration for this one came to me when I was just sitting and thinking of what to write and one of my cats jumped onto my lap and laid down on my keyboard so I couldn't work. I just stared at my cat and this poem popped into my head.
